Information Technology Analyst

Under the general direction of the Manager, HRIS, this position specifically supports the SAP Human Resource (HRIS) system. Responsibilities include the design and development of various applications, interfaces and reports as well as configuration of SAP modules in order to support the delivery of human resources services to the University community. The incumbent works directly with Human Resources staff in order to develop program and report specifications. Implementation of Labour Relation’s contract settlements are also a requirement of this position. As such, the incumbent will have access to confidential information such as biographic, benefit, payroll, and salary planning data. 

 

Qualifications:

 

EDUCATION:

 

University graduate or combination of formal education and experience.

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ SAP ABAP development experience is required including CDS, ODATA gateway, AMDP, WebDyn pro and Workflow. 

  • Minimum of three (3) years of SAP S/4 HANA development, with previous experience in SAP Financials and HCM 

  • Minimum of two (2) years of SAP PI/CPI experience is required and Integration experience between SAP and SF EC is desired. 

  • Minimum of one year of SAP WEBIDE or BTP experience is required.

  • Experience using modern software development and service management tools including Microsoft office, JIRA, Azure DevOps and ServiceNow.

  • Strong ability to conduct defect analysis to determine root cause of issues and coordinate resolution.

  • Experience using other software development tools such as SpinifexIT, NodeJS, SAP ADT, OpenUI5, Fiori UI5, HTML, XML, SQL and JavaScript desirable.

  • Minimum of one year experience dealing with Human Resources Data in a higher education/academic environment.

Superior problem-solving skills, analytical ability, strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent judgement, patience, initiative and ability to work effectively as a member of a team.  
Project management skills desirable

 

OTHER:

 

Good analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills; sensitivity to the needs and concerns of clients with varying complexity of HRIS problem. Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines. Must be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
