Purpose:
Osgoode Professional Development (OsgoodePD) is a revenue-generating professional education branch of Osgoode Hall Law School, that operates within a highly competitive commercial market for professional and executive continuing education. OsgoodePD offers degree and non-degree programs to both local and international students in full-time and part-time graduate degree LLMs, non-degree certificates, seminars and skills workshops, summer school and bridging programs, webinars, and custom training for corporations and government. OsgoodePD is located at both the York University campus and O downtown Toronto office with programs delivered in multiple formats and delivery modes within and outside of Canada. The Manager, Information Technology and Innovation role develops strategies, in support of business needs and processes, for development, management, implementation, evaluation and financial planning, and monitoring of technologies across OsgoodePD. These responsibilities span digital and distributed learning technology, marketing databases, CRM, Content Management Systems, project management tools, e-commerce, and Learning Management Systems. The role also oversees local application integration with York University's student information and learning management systems. The role builds and maintains effective relationships with York and Osgoode IT teams to ensure a high level of customer service provision of services is provided.The role is responsible for user support and the ongoing evaluation of the functionality and user experience of both internal and OsgoodePD customer facing systems, implements and manages security, integrity and backup procedures, schedules upgrades, and manages/conducts quality assurance testing. The role ensures systems are modified to operate reliably, ensures remote access, develops maintenance procedures, and implements, and keeps apprised of new technology for continual advancement of OsgoodePD's business goals.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as information technology, management sciences, computer science/studies or software/computer programming engineering.
PMP Certified or Certificate in Project Management.

Experience:

5 years of related experience.
4 years management experience.
Experience with educational technology.

Skills:
Knowledge
Expertise in IT governance, systems development methodologies, security, policy development, regulatory/legal issues, and best practices.
Expertise in contracting, negotiating, developing and maintain successful partnerships and alliances.
Knowledge of workstation hardware and software installation and support, including experience in network configuration and administration.
Web server administration and familiarity with modern web publishing applications.
Knowledge of recruitment, training, employment standards/labour relations and health and safety policies and procedures.
Knowledge of wide range of end-user applications (e.g., e-mail, graphics programs, word processing).
Knowledge of dealing with system complexities, such as multiple systems, integration challenges, privacy, seamless interfacing.
Knowledge of developing and executing transformational IT solutions.
Knowledge of virtual machines and architecture.
Familiarity with using various software (MS office, Adobe suite), SIS, CRM systems (SalesForce), learning management systems, social media, mobile applications, web-based communications, research and analytical tools, distance learning technologies such as MediaSite and Vidyo, web development, production equipment and production process.Skills
